Hi from KPLC
I want to begin by saying welcome to each of you. Whether you are a veteran blogger or someone who just happened to wander by while on kplctv.com, I'd like to invite you to use this blogsite as an ongoing conversation about KPLC. I'll post some of my thoughts, observations and news about KPLC, but will look to you to help me direct things here.
Feel free to post your questions about KPLC. Let me know what you like. Let me know what you don't like. Let me know what you'd like to see us do in the future, either on-air or online. I only have a few rules which I will enforce here: No personal attacks, no cussing, and keep it generally constructive. Nobody likes a grouch.
I'm a sucker for poetry, and over the years I've discovered that there is something about television that seems to inspire the poets in our audience. So, I'd like to begin things by sharing with you a little ditty sent to me by one of our friends in DeRidder. Many thanks to Tonya Bonsein for letting me post her poem here!
KPLC is here to stay
We'll keep you informed
Throughout the day
We may make you happy
Or sometimes sad
But we bring you the news
Though good or bad
Our faithful staff
Works around the clock
Getting out early
With no time to stop
The news room is jumping
The pressure is on
Is everyone ready?
"Answer that phone"
Technical problems?
"Let's get that fixed"
The clock is ticking
It's almost six
The camera's in focus
All ready to go
"Come on now" folks,
Let's start this show
